The meeting will take place between September 19 and 21. During this period, the capital of Pará will also host the 4th meeting of the group’s Tourism Working Group technicians, in addition to international forums of UN Tourism and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
On September 21, the Ministry of Tourism will hold a meeting of tourism ministers from the G20, a group of the 20 largest economies in the world, in the capital of Pará. The meeting will be chaired by Minister Celso Sabino and will be attended by industry leaders from countries such as South Africa, Germany, Argentina, the United States, Italy, Turkey, among others. Among the items to be discussed is the approval of proposals for the development of sustainable tourism, which will be presented at the Leaders’ Summit in November in Rio de Janeiro.
Prior to the ministerial meeting, September 19 will be dedicated to the 4th meeting of technicians from the G20 Tourism Working Group, with experts and representatives from the countries responsible for finalizing discussions on professional qualifications, strengthening multilateral institutions and expanding international financing for projects in the sector.
In parallel, the city will also host international forums organized by UN Tourism and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), providing a space for debate and collaboration on the challenges and opportunities in the global tourism market.
The three days promise to attract the attention of tourism leaders and experts, reinforcing the importance of Belém as a relevant destination on the international stage, in the year leading up to Cop30.
